Happiness is a warm bun
Ringo would get it.

They taste like comfort
Soft warm gooey awesomeness
They raise my spirits.

More about Charities we Support

0

Have you ever bought one of our meringue cookies, and wondered where the money goes?
Every month we chose a new charity to donate 100% of sales from meringues to – we wanted to share with you what we’ve contributed so far, and to whom.

First up, we chose to donate all funds from the first month and a half we were open to a cause close to our hearts – finding a cure for breast cancer.
All of the books you can …

The Employees Speaketh – Part II

1

So, after that long and winding path through our French press coffees, we’ll now chat a bit about our espresso drinks, our teas, and our lemonades. Hopefully we’ll keep it shorter than before.
We use Classic Coffee espresso, which is also fair trade organic (notice an overarching theme?). Sadie, as I mentioned, is a decaf drinker so she went to extensive trouble to make sure to find a decaf espresso that tastes just as good as the jittery version. …

Guest Post by Employees of the Month pt.1

0

Greetings from the employees of your favourite little café.
So we’ve been working at the café for a little over a month now, and we felt it was time our voices were heard by the general masses.
We could talk about what its like to be at work and baking by 6am every day (well, really, I can… Alex gets to stay till 8 to make up for it…), or the careful masterminding that the patio set-up and put-away logistics require, but …

What's up with our Patio? Well…

9

Have you ever walked into the cafe on a gorgeous day, only to wonder why our patio furniture isn’t out yet?
You’re not alone.
I wanted to take some time to explain why we aren’t letting you wonderful people bask in the beautiful weather we’re having lately from our patio.
I should start by explaining that what is causing the hold up is the lack of a patio licence. Prior to gearing up to open Cafe Novo, I was unaware that you required …

First Weekend A Success!

13

Wow.
I can’t find a word to describe how well our first three days open have been, that’s honestly the best we can come up with.
A quick recap -
We opened Friday morning at 7AM sharp, and immediately had friendly, eager customers to serve. I can’t even count how many times that day we were told they had been watching us update the space, and had been counting down the days until we opened. The support from local residents has been so …

Grand Opening Announced!

The light at the end of the tunnel is visible – we are getting so close.
We have a firm grand opening date now, we can finally share it all with you.
Friday, April 16th at 07:00 we throw open our (newly repaired) door to the general public, and are so excited to share what we’ve put so much time, effort and love into.
(A quick blurb about the door for those who have asked- we were hit by random vandals in the …
